Jacksonville Facility
This proposed small-scale LNG (ssLNG) facility will serve customers domestically and in the Caribbean basin. Here, Eagle LNG will receive natural gas – transported by a local utility through existing and expanded pipelines located adjacent to the site – liquefy and temporarily store the LNG, and periodically load LNG onto ocean-going vessels for export to countries currently using heavy fuel oil or diesel for power generation, as well as for use in domestic marine fueling.
Designed for minimal environmental impact on 194 acres, the facility is proudly supported by the Jacksonville community and located in an area that currently hosts other bulk fuel terminals.
Eagle LNG will procure electric energy from Jacksonville Electric Authority. The project will have a processing capacity of 1.65 million gallons of LNG per day, with onsite LNG storage of 12 million gallons. Eagle LNG received FERC authorization for the Jacksonville LNG export facility on September 19, 2019.
